On August 28, SII co-hosted a panel discussion on ‘Trust, Security and Safety Online: Avenues for Multi-Stakeholder Collaboration’ with the International Institute of Communications (IIC) at the India Digital Communications & Media Forum 2025, organised at the India International Centre. The keynote address was delivered by Ms. Nidhi Khare (Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs).
The panelists included Ms. Pratishtha Arora (Chief Executive Officer, Social & Media Matters), Mr. Sachin Kakkar (Engineering Site Director, Privacy, Safety and Security, Google), Ms. Priya Mahajan (Head of Asia Pacific Public Policy and Regulatory Counsel, Verizon Communications) and Mr. Sharat Chander (Director, Public Policy, Samsung). The discussion was moderated by Mr. Berges Malu (Convener, SII and Director of Public Policy, Koan Advisory Group).
The panelists shared their insights on the evolving nature of threats online and the importance of collaborative measures to tackle them.
